I watched the three part series Arnold, which shares the story of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
What struck me towards the end of the last part of the series, was whether you love him or hate him, he knew how to win.
Not only did he know how to win, but he won big in three different careers.
He proved that reinvention was possible.
You can pivot or start over completely successfully.
You don't have to stay stuck doing the thing that no longer drives you.
He also focused.
Schwarzenegger became successful in one area first, bodybuilding.
Then he leveraged that success into another, movie star.
Then into another, two-term governor.
Imagine trying to do those three things at the same time?
Focus. Pursue the thing. Win. Pivot. Focus again. Keep winning.
